What is Propel?

Propel is a revolutionary process that promotes bone growth in the jaw when combined with braces or Invisalign. It involves the use of micro osteo-perforations placed in the mouth providing a precise, more accurate and faster movement of the teeth. Orthodontic x-rays are used to determine proper placement of the perforations. The purpose of these perforations is to help blood flow to the specific area where it is needed, which boosts bone and tissue regrowth along with strengthening of the bone.

Propel is safe, minimally invasive and requires only a few minutes. It is performed under local anesthesia.

How Does It Work?

The Propel System works through a process known as Alveocentesis, which promotes bone growth in the upper and lower jaw. Alveocentesis allows the bone that envelopes teeth (alveolar) to better adapt to the movement of teeth. When used in conjunction with other orthodontic treatment, the shifting of teeth is much quicker.

Although this procedure can be performed on adults, it is not recommended because bone growth has already been completed, making healing time much longer.
